
As part of activities marking his 70th birthday celebration, the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Fadilat Sheikh Alliy Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi, on Saturday, 4th of April hosted a special thanksgiving session with prominent Islamic clerics, including Imams and Ulamahs, at his residence in Ikorodu.
The gathering, which drew respected religious leaders from across the division and beyond, was marked by prayers, spiritual reflections, and expressions of gratitude to Almighty Allah for the Imam’s life, leadership, and decades of service to Islam and the community.
In his address, Sheikh Olowooribi expressed profound appreciation to Allah for granting him longevity, sound health, and the opportunity to serve the Muslim Ummah for the past two decades as Chief Imam. He described the thanksgiving session as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to the service of humanity.
“I return all glory to Almighty Allah, who has sustained me through the years and entrusted me with the responsibility of leading His people. This milestone is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to His grace and mercy,” he said.
The revered cleric also appreciated fellow Imams, Ulamahs, family members, and well-wishers for their unwavering support, prayers, and cooperation throughout his journey. He urged Islamic leaders to continue to promote unity, peace, and moral discipline within society.
Sheikh Olowooribi further called on the Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold the teachings of Islam, and contribute positively to community development.
Special prayers were offered for his continued good health, wisdom, and impactful leadership, as well as for peace and progress in Ikorodu Division and Nigeria at large.
Among dignitaries present at the thanksgiving session was Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives, alongside other distinguished guests who came to honour the revered Islamic leader.
