Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo, Member representing Ikorodu Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has extended warm greetings to Christians in Ikorodu Constituency 1, on the solemn occasion of Good Friday.

In a statement released on Friday, the lawmaker described Good Friday as a sacred day that symbolizes the ultimate sacrifice, love, and redemption demonstrated by Jesus Christ for humanity.

He urged Christians to use the period for deep reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to the values of humility, selflessness, and compassion.

Hon. Ogunleye emphasized that the lessons of Good Friday remain relevant in addressing societal challenges, noting that sacrifice and unity are essential for national growth and peaceful coexistence.

He called on residents of Ikorodu and Nigerians in general to embrace peace, tolerance, and kindness toward one another.

“Good Friday reminds us of the power of sacrifice and the triumph of hope over despair. As we reflect on this significant day, let us recommit ourselves to building a more just, united, and prosperous society,” he stated.

The lawmaker further wished all Christians a meaningful Good Friday observance and a joyful Easter celebration in advance, praying that the season brings renewed hope, strength, and blessings to every home.
