The 54th birthday celebration of the member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Adegoke Benson, drew widespread commendations from traditional rulers, Ikorodu Division Chairmen, iCare Foundation, political figures, friends, and associates, who gathered to honour his contributions to the development of Ikorodu Division.

Leading the tributes, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, Oba Abdulkabir Adewale Shotobi, described the lawmaker as a worthy son who has consistently promoted Ikorodu and delivered impactful projects across the constituency.
The monarch noted that Benson’s achievements since assuming office have been enormous, adding that the large turnout of guests at the celebration was a clear testament to his performance and acceptance among the people.

Speaking on behalf of other traditional rulers, Oba Shotobi offered prayers for the continued protection, success, and elevation of the lawmaker.

Former Minister of Works and senator, Adeseye Ogunlewe, also praised Benson, describing him as an outstanding legislator whose infrastructural strides have transformed the constituency.
He highlighted the construction of over 100 roads, alongside the facilitation of world-class hospitals, schools, and a stadium, noting that the lawmaker remains a pride to leaders in Ikorodu.

In her goodwill message, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-West), Moremi Ojudu, commended Benson’s strength, wisdom, and intellectual capacity, describing him as a mentor and reliable ally.

Other stakeholders at the event also showered praises on the lawmaker, applauding his service, empowerment initiatives, and unwavering support for the people of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
