A wave of spiritual revival swept across Ikorodu Division this Ramadan as the Jimi Benson iCare Foundation successfully took its Tafsir train across the six local councils that make up Ikorodu Federal Constituency, drawing Muslim faithful, Islamic scholars, community leaders, and political stakeholders into a season of faith, reflection, and unity.
The impactful religious outreach reached its grand finale on Saturday, March 13, 2026, at the Ikorodu Central Mosque where the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division and Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque, Sheikh Seifudeen Ademoritan Ayinla Olowooribi, led the concluding Ramadan lecture and special prayers.
The Tafsir initiative, sponsored by the iCare Foundation of Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, moved across the major Central Mosques within the six councils of Ikorodu Division throughout the Ramadan period.
The spiritual tour began at the Ijede Central Mosque in Ijede LCDA where the foundation team was warmly received by the Chief Imam of Ijede LCDA, Sheikh Sulaimon Olatunji Akinjobi.
From Ijede, the Tafsir train proceeded to Igbogbo Central Mosque under the spiritual leadership of the Grand Chief Imam of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Sheikh Abdulganiu Abolore Gazali.
The programme in Igbogbo also attracted the presence of the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, who used the occasion to commend Rep. Babajimi Benson for what he described as inclusive leadership and impactful representation.
According to him, the activities of the Jimi Benson iCare Foundation have consistently touched lives across the division through humanitarian interventions, educational support programmes, healthcare initiatives, and community development projects.

At every location visited, the programmes attracted notable personalities from across Ikorodu Division including political leaders, community stakeholders, and respected elders who joined Muslim faithful in observing the Ramadan teachings.
Interestingly, many of the Islamic clerics used the opportunity to commend Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering support for the Muslim community in Ikorodu Division despite being a Christian.
They noted that the lawmaker has consistently demonstrated religious tolerance and genuine commitment to unity by supporting Islamic institutions, mosques, and religious programmes across the division through financial contributions and humanitarian interventions.

Similarly, Sheikh Abdulganiu Abolore Gazali of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA described the lawmaker’s gesture as a reflection of true leadership that transcends religious divides and focuses on service to humanity.
Other clerics including Sheikh Aridegbe Kosoko Mushafau Folohunso of Ikorodu West LCDA, Chief Imam Adams Moruff Kolawole of Imota LCDA, Sheikh Raji Eniijaoba of Ikorodu North LCDA, and His Eminence Yahya Olorunoshebi Oshoala Ajagbemokeferi As-Samadaani of Oriwu Central Mosque also offered prayers for Rep.
