The Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Hameed Aroyewun, and the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen  Orimadegun Kasali, have commended *Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru* for his developmental initiatives and commitment to community engagement across the Lagos East Senatorial District.

Likewise, the Muslim Ummah at the ancient Ikorodu Central Mosque, Obun Ale, where Senator Abiru was turbaned Ekeerin Adinni, also expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for advancing the cause of Almighty Allah during the Ramadan through the Tafsir lectures he sponsored across the Senatorial district.

They gave the commendation during the ongoing  Senator Mukhail Adetotunbo Abiru Ramadan Lecture Series held on Wednesday at Igbogbo Central Mosque, Odofin Road, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA in Lagos State.

A respected  Islamic scholar, Sheikh Idiri Rasheed Olodo, who delivered a lecture on the topic “Lack of Intimate Relationship among the Muslim Ummah”, emphasised the importance of strengthening bonds within the Muslim community, drawing references from the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions.

According to him, building stronger relationships among Muslims and extending compassion to fellow human beings remains central to the values of Islam and essential for promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in society.

The cleric also acknowledged Senator Abiru’s consistent efforts in community development and his initiative in organising the Ramadan lecture series, praying for continued success in his service to the people.

The council boss, Hon. Aroyehun commended the guest lecturer for the insightful lecture and urged participants to internalise the message of unity, love and mutual understanding within the Muslim community.

He also highlighted some of Senator Abiru’s developmental projects to Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, including road, school and health facility projects and other anticipated infrastructure initiatives such as the establishment of a fire service station.

The traditional ruler of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom,  also applauded the senator’s performance in office, describing him as a focused and hardworking legislator committed to the progress of his constituents.

The monarch noted that Senator Abiru’s interventions across Lagos East have continued to make a significant impact on communities and improve the well-being of residents.

The event was attended by several Islamic leaders, including the Chief Imam General of Igbogbo LCDA, Sheikh Gasali Abolore Abdul Ganiy, as well as other prominent clerics from across the Ikorodu division.

Among them were Sheikh Tajudeen Disu, Chief Imam of Baiyeku; Sheikh Sulaimon Sodiq, Chief Imam of Ibeshe; Sheikh Huseini Gazali, Chief Imam of Elepe; Sheikh Saheed Balubi, Chief Imam of Offin; Sheikh Issa Enijaoba, Chief Imam of Ikorodu North; and Sheikh Mushafau, Chief Imam of Ikorodu West.
