The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has inaugurated newly appointed Supervisors and Special Advisers, urging them to work collectively towards the growth and development of the council.

Speaking during the inauguration, Anomo said the appointees were carefully selected after consultations with party leaders, community stakeholders and other critical groups across the LCDA.

He noted that the selection reflects the various interests within the council and ensures broad representation.

The chairman charged the new officials to discharge their duties diligently and serve as partners in progress toward achieving economic growth and infrastructural development in Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA.

According to him, residents should expect improved service delivery, particularly in key sectors such as health and education, as the supervisors will now oversee different departments within the council administration.

Also speaking, the Executive Director of Customer Centricity and Marketing at Galaxy Backbone Limited and former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusegun Olulade, urged the appointees to work in unity and support the chairman in delivering effective governance.

Olulade noted that the appointments reflected a blend of interests across various caucuses and groups within the party, adding that the development has strengthened unity within Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA.

He also encouraged residents to continue supporting the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Lagos State Government and the leadership of the council.

One of the newly appointed supervisors, Areh Abdulhameed who previously served as Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman and is now Supervisor for Budget, Planning, Information and Strategy, expressed gratitude to the chairman for finding him worthy of the appointment. He pledged to serve diligently and bring innovation to the office.

Bashir Oluwakemi, SLA to Hon. Wale Raji MHR applauded the Chairman for bringing all caucuses together and ensuring everyone is carried along, and suggested to the State Government that future appointments should be made more timely, as the waiting period after the chairman’s inauguration was quite lengthy.
