The Legislative Arm of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has concluded the screening exercise for nominees for the positions of Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisors, and Special Advisers.

The screening exercise, held at the Hallowed Chamber, formed part of the legislative process to assess the suitability of the nominees before their confirmation and assumption of office.

During the exercise, the lawmakers carefully examined the credentials of the nominees and engaged them on issues relating to governance, administrative competence, and their readiness to contribute to the development of the council.

The Council Leader, Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, noted that the screening process was necessary to ensure that only qualified and capable individuals are appointed to support the administration in delivering effective governance and grassroots development.

She added that the legislative arm remains committed to carrying out its oversight responsibilities diligently in the interest of the people of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

With the conclusion of the exercise, the Legislative Arm is expected to deliberate on the outcome ahead of the confirmation of the nominees.
