It was an emotional moment at Apakin Primary Health Centre as Nurse Bankole Jumoke Tawakaltu marked 35 years of dedicated service alongside her 60th birthday celebration.

Nurse Bankole, who has served for many years as the Officer in Charge (OIC) of Apakin PHC and Chief Nursing Officer, was celebrated by colleagues, community members and well-wishers for her unwavering commitment to healthcare delivery.

Over the decades, she has provided care to mothers, children and families within the community, earning admiration for her compassion, patience and strong sense of duty.

In recognition of her outstanding service, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, presented her with a cash gift of ₦1 million.

The Chairman, who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Rasaq Ojikutu, described the gesture as a token of appreciation for Nurse Bankole’s years of dedication and sacrifice.

He noted that the council remains committed to recognising and celebrating hardworking officers who contribute meaningfully to community development.

The event drew heartfelt tributes from staff and residents, many of whom shared stories highlighting Nurse Bankole’s impact on healthcare services at the facility and her enduring legacy in the community.
