Somolu Local Government is set to witness a historic moment in its hospitality sector as Equal Right Restaurant and Bar will officially reopens its doors on Friday, February 13, 2026, marking a major milestone – its 40th anniversary in the hospitality business.

The launch, which doubles as a 40th anniversary celebration, is expected to attract residents, business leaders, hospitality stakeholders and well-wishers from within and outside Somolu, as the brand unveils a modern restaurant and bar designed to offer quality meals, assorted drinks and a serene relaxation environment.

According to the CEO of the outfit, Hon. Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salau said the anniversary celebration will feature special activities, including live music and entertainment, and special anniversary packages throughout the launch day. The activities, she said, are aimed at appreciating loyal customers and welcoming new ones as the brand enters a new chapter in Somolu.

Speaking ahead of the launch, the Chief Executive Officer of Equal Right Restaurant and Bar,  Mrs. Omotanwa Salau described the 40th anniversary as a reflection of resilience, consistency and commitment to excellence.
“Celebrating 40 years is a testimony to God’s grace, hard work and the unwavering support of our customers over the decades. The re-opening of our Somolu outlet on February 13 marks a new beginning for us, and we are determined to deliver quality service, good food and a peaceful environment that residents can truly call their own”. The CEO said.

She further noted that the decision to re-establish the restaurant and bar in Somolu was influenced by the community’s vibrancy and growing commercial potential. She assured residents that the establishment would operate responsibly, maintain high hygiene standards and promote peaceful coexistence with its host community.

In addition to enhancing social life in the area, the management disclosed that the new outlet has created employment opportunities for youths, with a commitment to engaging more residents as the business expands.
