Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Adegorushen V, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the people of Lagos East, the senator described the monarch as a revered royal father whose reign has been marked by purposeful, progressive, and people-centred leadership. Oba Shotobi, who is the Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Division and Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, was commended for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and development.

Senator Abiru noted that under the monarch’s stewardship, Ikorodu has continued to enjoy social harmony, cultural preservation, and steady growth.

He added that the Ayangbure’s rare ability to blend royal dignity with native wisdom has strengthened the synergy between traditional institutions and modern governance, earning him admiration beyond the Ikorodu Kingdom.
