
Leo District 404A3 Nigeria, of Lions International has officially kicked off its 3rd District Convention, tagged “Ikorodu Oga 2026,” with the theme “Passion for Service.” The convention brings together Leos and Lions from across the district to celebrate service, leadership, and fellowship.
Delivering the welcome address at the opening of the convention, the District President, Leo Tunde Lasisi, warmly received participants and expressed appreciation for their presence and commitment to the ideals of Lionism. He described the convention as a platform to strengthen unity, inspire purposeful leadership, and reaffirm the district’s dedication to selfless service.
Leo Lasisi noted that the “Ikorodu Oga 2026” convention reflects the energy, culture, and resilience of Ikorodu, while the theme “Passion for Service” underscores the responsibility of Leo’s to remain driven, innovative, and people-oriented in their service to humanity. He encouraged members to actively participate in all convention activities and to continue making meaningful impact in their communities.
Activities for the convention commenced on Day One with a colourful Retro Bash Old School Party, which set an exciting tone for the event.
The party recorded an impressive turnout of Leo’s, who appeared in a mix of classic old-school outfits and new-school fashion, creating a lively and nostalgic atmosphere.
The Retro Bash featured music from different eras, engaging games, social interactions, and other fun-filled activities, providing participants with an opportunity to relax, connect, and build camaraderie ahead of the main convention sessions.
