The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has extended the council’s ongoing road stabilization programme to Idasho Town, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to improving grassroots infrastructure.

As part of the intervention, crushed stones are being laid as base course on road sections that have already been scarified and graded, marking a new phase in the stabilization works within the community. The development follows the chairman’s approval of the project to enhance road durability and ensure all-season accessibility for residents.

Key roads benefiting from the exercise include the Lekuru Link Road to Idasho and the Igbosewe to Idasho Primary Health Care (PHC) Road. These routes are considered critical for daily movement, access to healthcare services and overall socio-economic activities within Idasho and adjoining areas.

The road stabilization works are expected to significantly improve accessibility, reduce erosion challenges and enhance emergency response time, particularly for health-related services. Residents have expressed optimism that the intervention will ease transportation difficulties and contribute to improved living conditions in the community.

The Idasho project forms part of a broader infrastructure upgrade being implemented across Lekki LCDA, aimed at strengthening local road networks and promoting sustainable development at the community level.
