
The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has disbursed compensation to retired staff of the council as well as families of deceased employees, in fulfillment of his administration’s commitment to staff welfare.
The compensation was formally presented at the Lekki LCDA Secretariat, where retirees and beneficiaries of deceased staff received their entitlements in recognition of their years of dedicated service to the council and Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Kasali commended the retirees for their selfless contributions to the growth and development of Lekki LCDA, noting that the disbursement aligns with his administration’s policy of ensuring that workers are adequately catered for both during service and after retirement. He added that supporting families of deceased staff remains a moral responsibility of the council.
He described the gesture as an expression of empathy and responsible governance, stressing that the council remains committed to fair treatment and the well-being of its workforce at all times.
Recipients of the compensation expressed gratitude to the council leadership, describing the payment as timely and reassuring, and praised the chairman for demonstrating compassion and accountability to workers and their families.
