The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has advanced ongoing road stabilization works across the council area, with the project now entering the base-course stage through the spreading of crushed stone materials on previously scarified and graded sections, particularly in Imobido Town and its environs.
The intervention, which covers 13 roads, is part of the chairman’s broader infrastructure improvement programme aimed at enhancing accessibility and easing movement within communities.
Roads benefiting from the stabilization works include Divine Academy Road; Mosque Road beside Apakin Primary Health Centre; Mosafejo Road; Kalesanmi Road; Oshoroko Primary School Road; Idotun Community Junior Secondary School Road; Ericson Hotel Itoke Road; Magbon Segun Vocational Centre Road; Lekuru Link to Idasho; Igbosewe to Idasho Primary Health Centre Road; Imobido Phase 2; Itamarun to Apakin Road; and Itamarun Road.
With the contractor concluding the base-course phase, officials of the Lekki LCDA Works Department are actively on site to supervise the project and ensure that all materials used meet the required engineering standards and specifications.
The road stabilization initiative is expected to significantly improve road conditions, enhance connectivity, and reduce the daily transportation challenges faced by residents and commuters across Lekki LCDA, in line with the administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and improved quality of life for the people.
