The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has completed the comprehensive reconstruction of Community Primary School, Folu, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the safety of public school infrastructure and the welfare of pupils across the LCDA.

The school had earlier suffered significant damage following a heavy windstorm, raising concerns about the safety of pupils and teachers and disrupting academic activities.

In response, the Lekki LCDA Chairman approved and supervised a full-scale reconstruction of the affected facilities to ensure the school was restored to standard and made fit for learning.

The reconstruction works included the installation of a new solid roofing system and ceiling, laying of new floors, fresh painting of classrooms and offices, and the replacement of old windows and doors. Improved toilet facilities were also provided to enhance hygiene and promote a healthier learning environment for pupils and staff.

With the completion of the project, Community Primary School, Folu, has been fully restored and now offers a safe, secure, and conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.

Teachers and pupils have since returned to improved facilities that meet basic safety and comfort standards.

Engr. Kasali reiterated that the reconstruction aligns with his administration’s broader agenda to strengthen public education infrastructure, ensure the safety of schoolchildren, and respond promptly to emergencies affecting public assets within Lekki LCDA.

He assured residents that the council remains committed to continuous investment in education and the overall well-being of communities across the LCDA.
