Team Ogudu has emerged champions of the 3rd Edition of the Kosofe Chairman’s Cup All Wards Football Competition, carting away the ₦1 million grand prize as the tournament concluded in a colourful finale on Sunday, 28 December 2025.

The competition, organised by the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, was held at Emmanuel Primary School, Ojota, and brought together football teams from across the seven wards of the local government in a celebration of grassroots sports and youth engagement.

After an impressive display of skill, teamwork and determination, Team Ogudu defeated their opponents to secure first place. Team Anthony finished as runners-up and received a cash prize of ₦500,000, while Team Orile-Oworo came third, earning ₦250,000.

The final match was marked by thrilling football action and lively entertainment, attracting residents and notable personalities from within and outside the local government.

Among dignitaries in attendance were the Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, and the Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director-General of the City Boy Movement.

Speaking through the success of the tournament, the initiative was described as a reflection of the Ogunlewe administration’s commitment to youth development, community cohesion and the promotion of sports at the grassroots level.

The Chairman’s Cup has continued to serve as a platform for discovering local talents and fostering unity among youths across Kosofe.
