The Immediate past Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Olusesan Daini, has formally returned to the Justice Forum, describing the move as a homecoming and a reaffirmation of his political roots.
Addressing party leaders and supporters, Daini said Justice Forum is where his political journey began. He recalled that when he previously left, he did so with a small number of supporters but returned with hundreds, attributing the growth to the political training, mentorship, and leadership values he received over the years from Asiwaju Basorun.
He emphasized that his loyalty has remained unwavering to Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, whom he described as his leader in all seasons.
According to Daini, the leadership style of Asiwaju Basorun—anchored on consistency, inclusiveness, and grassroots development—played a major role in his return, noting that the guidance he received translated into increased support and stronger political relevance.
In his remarks, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, Member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and Apex Leader of the Justice Forum in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, welcomed Daini and his supporters back into the fold.
He said the Justice Forum has been a consistent and reliable political platform committed to unity, grassroots mobilisation, and the overall growth and development of Igbogbo Kingdom.
Basorun stressed that Daini is not a stranger within the Justice Forum, describing him as an integral part of the political family. He disclosed that the forum has well-established structures across all wards in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, assuring members of a strong and organised political base.
Calling for unity, Basorun urged members to shun division and embrace collective responsibility, emphasising that everyone within the forum must be seen as one family working toward a common goal.
Commending Daini’s tenure as Chairman, Basorun praised his performance in office, noting that several landmark projects were executed under his leadership. He highlighted the council secretariat edifice and the ultra-modern palace, among other achievements, as enduring legacies of Daini’s administration.
Describing him as a worthy son of Igbogbo Kingdom, Basorun expressed pride in his contributions to the community and formally welcomed him and his supporters back to the Justice Forum.
Going back memory lane of the movement, Basorun recalled that it was established in 1989 as Primrose before evolving into the present-day Justice Forum. He emphasized the need for members to collaborate closely and work with renewed determination ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He further charged every Justice Forum member in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA to return to their respective wards and work hand in hand with the leadership to strengthen party structures at the grassroots, adding that with unity and commitment, the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections is inevitable.
In his closing remarks, Daini called on his numerous supporters to embrace love and unity as the foundation for peaceful coexistence and sustainable development within the APC, while thanking God for guiding his political journey thus far.
He also commended the leadership of the Justice Forum, particularly Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, Alhaji Abdullahi Bobomi, and other members of the forum, for their consistency, loyalty, and commitment to the party.
Daini reiterated his determination to uphold the principles of good leadership and to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and stability of the APC in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
