Ikorodu Local Government on Wednesday, 17th December 2025, Celebrated its Annual Children’s Christmas Party at the Ikorodu Local Government Secretariat, bringing together children from across the local government area for a day of fun, celebration, and goodwill.

The colourful event, which was organized as part of the council’s commitment to putting smiles on the faces of children during the festive season.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Prince Adedayo Ladega, expressed profound joy at celebrating Christmas with the children.

He described the gathering as a moment of happiness and reflection, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and protecting children as future leaders.

Hon. Ladega appreciated the collective efforts of ward councillors, members of the executive council, management staff, and other local government officials for their support and dedication towards the success of the programme. He noted that such unity and teamwork continue to strengthen governance at the grassroots.

The Chairman also reassured residents of the local government’s commitment to policies and programmes that promote the welfare of children and families, especially during festive periods that call for love, sharing, and togetherness.
