Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in strategic partnership with PAKAM and with the full backing of the Office of the Special Adviser on Climate Change & Circular Economy, Lagos State Government, is proud to announce the official launch of the Eco-Circulate Onigbongbo Waste-to-Wealth Initiative.

This pioneering programme transforms the everyday act of waste disposal into a powerful engine for economic empowerment, environmental cleanliness, and sustainable development at the grassroots level.

Under the initiative, registered waste collectors, supported by interest-free loans and modern electric vehicle (EV) tricycles, now purchase recyclable materials directly from households and businesses. Collected waste is transported in a clean, efficient, and zero-emission manner to designated recycling hubs where residents can exchange their recyclables for real value, including: Cash payments, Bags of rice, Recharge card / Airtime, Cowry card / Bus pass, and more
