Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area was filled with celebration and commendation on Friday, 28th November 2025, as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, marked her 100 days in office. The event, held at the LCDA Secretariat, brought together political leaders, dignitaries, and community members who gathered to acknowledge her impactful and transformational achievements within a short period.

As part of the celebration, she commissioned major projects including the reconstruction and renovation of Abesan Primary School and Mosan Primary School. She also inaugurated Adunni Opeyemi Road and the LS Road/Water Corporation axis, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and community development.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Adunni described the first 100 days of her administration as a journey built on faith, commitment, and passionate leadership. She stated that she and her team “hit the ground running” from the first day in office with a focus on improving the welfare of residents across all wards.

According to her, projects once considered impossible for many years have now begun to take shape within just a few months under her leadership, a development she attributed to President Tinubu’s increased allocation to local governments.

She further explained that her developmental blueprint would continue to unfold through policies aimed at long-term community advancement. Highlighting innovative initiatives, she referenced the “Light Up Mosan-Okunola Project,” noting that after years of relying on generators, the LCDA is now switching to solar-powered solutions to ensure cleaner, safer, and more reliable energy for residents.

The chairman also highlighted the council’s educational support initiatives and the empowerment programmes, which have so far benefited more than 3,000 residents.

Goodwill messages followed from dignitaries; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, represented by Hon. Ladi Ajomale praised the chairman for her remarkable leadership qualities.

He described her journey as one defined by resilience, commitment, and strong governance, urging her to sustain her development-driven momentum.

Hon. Kayode Robert, Commissioner for Local Government, also applauded her administrative strength and achievements, stating that in just 100 days she had demonstrated what strong and passionate leadership truly looks like. He added that when leadership aligns with passion, the result is always visible progress.

Hon. Bisi Yusuf, Director General of Grassroot Movement for Tinubu 2027, commended Hon. Adunni for her brilliance, discipline, and work ethic.

He linked her accomplishments to the vision behind the creation of the 57 LCDAs, adding that without the reform, the administrative capacity and excellence demonstrated by leaders like her might never have been discovered. His remarks drew applause as he emphasized that she has shown the qualities required for even higher leadership roles.

Hon. KK Ayuba used his goodwill message to encourage residents to engage actively in PVC registration, describing it as a civic duty critical to strengthening democratic participation. He commended the chairman’s efforts and encouraged the community to continue supporting her administration.

The APC Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA expressed deep pride in her accomplishments so far. According to him, her performance within the first 100 days clearly reflects her dedication to service and her determination to deliver good governance. He noted that the party is confident she will achieve even greater milestones in the months and years ahead.
