The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaq Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has marked his first 100 days in office with significant development projects and impactful welfare programs, demonstrating a leadership focused on action and community well-being.

Under his administration, major healthcare projects are underway, including the construction of a Type-C Modern Primary Health Centre and a Type-A PHC at Okun Ise, as well as the rehabilitation of Apakin PHC. The Council also renovated Folu Primary School, provided new whiteboards for public schools, and carried out the channelization of waterways to prevent flooding. Regular clearance of road verges and monthly fumigation of all public facilities have been implemented to ensure a cleaner and safer environment for residents.

Beyond infrastructure, the administration has prioritized human capital development and empowerment. Youths and staff have benefited from free skill acquisition and IT training programs, while summer coaching was organized for students. Monthly food palliatives have been sustained, and free medical checkups for staff have been introduced to support health and well-being.

Several free health missions have also been carried out, focusing on eye care, prostate cancer, and general medical services. In addition, educational support has been a key focus, with awards presented to the best performing students in public schools and “Back to School” materials distributed to encourage learning.

Engr. Kasali’s first 100 days reflect steady progress and a leadership style that prioritizes the welfare of the people, reinforcing a vision of development and renewed hope across Lekki LCDA.
