Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, on Monday, November 10, 2025, emphasized her administration’s commitment to inclusive governance during the 2026 “Budget of Renewed Hope” Stakeholders Meeting and the flag-off of Ifelodun and Ajewole Streets in Ajegunle (Ward G).
In her address, Mayoress Bada described the stakeholders’ meeting as “the foundation of our next phase of development,” highlighting that governance in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA is people-driven, inclusive, and responsive. Residents from all seven wards gathered to ensure that the 2026 budget reflects community needs, priorities, and aspirations.
She stressed that Renewed Hope is not merely a slogan, but a commitment to making communities safer, cleaner, more productive, and better connected.
The Mayoress officially flagged off the construction of Ifelodun and Ajewole Streets, describing the initiative as a clear demonstration of the Budget of Renewed Hope in action.
She noted that these roads would address years of recurrent flooding, improve access and mobility for traders, artisans, and motorists, boost local businesses and property values, and strengthen connectivity between Ajegunle and the Ikorodu Road corridor. She added that the projects would beautify the area, protect homes, enhance security, and restore confidence in government.
Mayoress Bada reiterated her administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, youth empowerment, support for women and vulnerable groups, and equitable distribution of resources across all wards.
She aligned the local initiatives with the THEME Plus Agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The Mayoress also expressed appreciation for the support of traditional rulers, CDC and CDA members, councillors, political leaders, and community volunteers, describing their partnership as key to a progressive and peaceful LCDA. She concluded by urging everyone to remember that development is a collective effort, and that the continued cooperation of residents is essential to sustaining progress.
“As we officially flag off the construction of Ifelodun and Ajewole Streets, let it be a reminder that Renewed Hope is alive here in Ajegunle, in every ward, and throughout Ikosi-Isheri LCDA,” she said, reaffirming her dedication to raising the standard of governance and making the LCDA a model of purposeful leadership in Lagos State.
