The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, FISN, has charged intelligence officers of the Agency to uphold diligence, accuracy, and credibility in carrying out their duties.
Prince Oyekan gave the charge during the official distribution of HP All-in-One desktop systems to the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LGA/LCDA) Commands at the Agency’s headquarters in Lagos.
According to him, the new equipment are part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts to enhance intelligence gathering and strengthen its information management systems, particularly during the ember months and other critical security periods.
“Intelligence gathering goes beyond assumptions; it is about verified facts and actionable insights,” Prince Oyekan stated. “Officers must avoid uncertain phrases such as ‘I think,’ ‘I’m not sure,’ or ‘It seems.’ Effective intelligence work requires depth, precision, and commitment.”
He further emphasized the importance of content and substance in intelligence reporting, urging officers to be proactive, responsible, and results-driven.
“If you don’t have content, what do you want to write?” he asked rhetorically, encouraging personnel to focus on producing credible and well-substantiated intelligence reports that can drive effective decision-making.
The General Manager also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering commitment to security and support for the Agency’s initiatives.
He assured that the LNSA would continue to contribute meaningfully to strengthening Lagos State’s security architecture and enhancing its international reputation.
Prince Oyekan concluded by urging all officers to uphold excellence and integrity as they deploy the newly distributed systems to boost intelligence operations across all 57 commands.
