According to Princess Bada, these roads are not just mere infrastructure but symbols of responsiveness, speed, and sincerity in governance. In her speech, she emphasized that the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA is aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus vision of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. She specifically praised Governor Sanwo-Olu, describing him as a leader who works tirelessly and prioritizes the needs of the people.

The Chairman also thanked President Tinubu, expressing her optimism about his second term and the impact it will have on their community. She assured the people of Ikosi-Isheri that her administration is committed to delivering more and building a better future for them.

She expressed gratitude to the residents of Ikosi-Isheri for their faith and patience, stating that their trust continues to inspire her administration to do more. She assured the community that this is just the beginning of the Renewed Chapter and that governance will continue to reach every home, street, and heart.

The construction of the four roads has brought numerous benefits to the community, including improved access, reduced travel time, and enhanced economic activity. The roads have also improved safety and security, especially at night, and boosted property values.

Princess Bada reiterated her administration’s commitment to grassroots development and its determination to build a better future for the people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.

HRH Oba Samuel Alamu Kehinde Onikosi (Edun Arobadi I), the Onikosi of Ikosi Kosofe Land applauded the Mayoress for her attentiveness to community challenges, saying she “knows where it pinches the residents, and she listens.”

He noted that her hands-on approach and commitment to grassroots development have made a visible difference in the community, particularly through infrastructure projects that enhance accessibility and improve the quality of life for residents.

Hon. Femi Saheed, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 2,  said the infrastructure would significantly improve accessibility, enhance business activities, and increase property values in the area.

“The lives of the people will be easier, a lot of businesses will be empowered, because when there are roads, there will be networks that allow timely access to their businesses. This will change the face of the area and improve the quality of life of the people,” he said.

He commended the council chairman for her proactive approach, noting that the opening of multiple roads since the start of her administration demonstrates performance and commitment to community development. “Marking 100 days with monumental achievements like this shows that the APC is performing, she is performing, and the council is moving forward. Since she started, she has maintained a good culture of maintenance, which is key to sustaining these investments,” Hon. Saheed added.

Also weighing in, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, advised residents to take care of the newly constructed roads. “The little maintenance they can give the road, they should please do it. We are confident the council will also maintain its roads, but if they hiccups, residents should report it to the council to ensure the road is kept clean and in good condition,” he said.

He further cautioned residents against practices that could damage the roads, such as washing vehicles on asphalt or parking cars that leak diesel or oil, stressing that such actions can deteriorate the surface and reduce its lifespan.

Mr. Taiwo Dotun, Chairman of the Bello Folawiyo Community Development Association (CDA) recounted that upon her assumption of office, he and other community leaders visited Princess Bada to congratulate her and highlighted the urgent need for road infrastructure to improve accessibility in the area. “She promised that the roads would be constructed, and today, that promise has been fulfilled as she commissions them,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to the Mayoress for her dedication and commitment, describing her work in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA as exemplary. “We appreciate you, Mayoress, for your great work in the area,” Mr. Dotun added, noting that the new roads will greatly enhance mobility and the overall quality of life for residents.

The commissioning of these roads marks another milestone in Princess Bada’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and deliver on her administration’s promise of development across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
