At the press conference themed Renewed Hope at the Grassroots held to commemorate the milestone, Princess Bada not only reflected on her administration’s achievements but also highlighted a series of projects lined up for commissioning during the weeklong celebration. These projects, spread across various wards, form part of the activities marking her first 100 days in office in her second term.
She said the Renewed Hope agenda remains the guiding light of her second term, the spirit of service, and the promise of a better tomorrow for the people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
Reflecting on her first term, the council boss highlighted the execution of over 104 people-oriented projects spanning healthcare, education, sports, infrastructure, security, and market development.
Among the notable achievements was the construction of the 105-bedded Senator Oluremi Tinubu Primary Healthcare Centre, Ikosi—the largest primary healthcare facility in Nigeria, both in size and equipment—commissioned by the First Lady of Nigeria, represented by Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President. She also cited the reconstruction of the Ikosi Fruit Market, the development of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu International Market, and several educational and youth empowerment initiatives as milestones that laid the foundation for the new phase of her administration.

Addressing questions on project funding, Princess Bada clarified that no loans were taken for any of the council’s projects, explaining that all were financed through statutory allocations from the federal and Lagos State governments. She added that Governor Sanwo-Olu has granted local governments full autonomy even the autonomy came to manage their affairs responsibly.
She also revealed plans to introduce “Keke Mayoress,” a mini waste collection initiative that will operate in areas inaccessible to LAWMA trucks, with residents paying a small token for the service.
Princess Bada concluded by expressing gratitude to residents, traditional rulers, civil servants, and political leaders for their cooperation and trust, stating that the administration’s achievements are the result of collective commitment and shared vision.
