The Eko Youth Tourism Club, in collaboration with the Lagos Students Tourism Initiatives (LSTI), has announced the postponement of the much-anticipated Students Tourism Retreat (STR) earlier scheduled to take place from November 5 to 7, 2025.
According to a statement signed by the Convener of the Eko Youth Tourism Club, Comrade Ogunye Oluwaseun Adeyinka, the postponement was necessary to allow for better coordination and to ensure a more impactful and memorable experience for all participants.
The statement emphasized that the short delay will help organizers refine plans and logistics to deliver a retreat that truly reflects the vision of youth-driven innovation and tourism development.
“We deeply appreciate the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture for its kind endorsement, and we specially recognize the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, for his immeasurable support, visionary leadership, and genuine passion for youth empowerment and development in Lagos State,” the statement read in part.
The organizers also expressed gratitude to their partners, sponsors, and the Lagos students’ community for their patience and continuous support, assuring them that a new date for the retreat will be announced soon.
