As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has extended his warm felicitations to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the National Assembly, the Judiciary, the Armed Forces, and all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

In a statement, Hon. Benson saluted the sacrifices of Nigeria’s heroes past and the commitment of citizens who continue to keep the Nigerian dream alive. He noted that the country is undergoing bold reforms under President Tinubu’s leadership to stabilize the economy and lay the foundation for lasting prosperity. The Renewed Hope Agenda, he said, is a deliberate effort to boost food security, expand energy, empower youths and women, strengthen social welfare, and enhance national security.

According to Rep. Benson, these reforms are tough but necessary steps towards a Nigeria where peace, opportunity, and prosperity are guaranteed for all.

He emphasized that the progress of Nigeria depends on unity, patriotism, and collective resolve to build a nation where peace and opportunity thrive.

As a representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Benson reflected on the strides made in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. He pledged to continue giving his best in service, ensuring that Ikorodu stands tall in the Nigerian project.

In his Independence Day message, Hon. Benson urged Nigerians to set aside ethnic and religious divides and strengthen the bonds that unite them. He expressed optimism that Nigeria’s best days are still before us, saying, “Happy Independence Day! Nigeria’s best days are still before us.”
