As part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and public health, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has ordered the fumigation of Ebute Lekki and Okunraye communities, On Friday September 19, 2025.

The fumigation exercise, aimed at enhancing sanitary conditions and controlling pests, is a key component of the council’s broader environmental management strategy.

Engr. Kasali emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment, noting that community cooperation is vital to the success of such initiatives. He urged residents, especially traders and shop owners, to support the council’s efforts by keeping their surroundings clean and disposing of waste properly.

“We are committed to creating a safer and healthier environment for all residents. However, this goal can only be achieved through collective responsibility and community participation,” the Chairman said.

The council also called on citizens to remain vigilant and proactive in matters of public hygiene, as it continues to roll out measures aimed at safeguarding the environment and improving the overall quality of life in Lekki LCDA.
