
In a bid to strengthen basic education, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has introduced a monthly support allowance of ₦50,000 for each of the 17 public primary schools in the LCDA. This initiative aims to support the smooth operations and day-to-day running of the schools.
The Chairman announced the allowance during a congratulatory visit from the Education Secretary, Otunba Shittu Aliu Idowu, and the leadership of AOPSHON (Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria), Ikosi-Ejinrin chapter. The delegation presented a gift to the Chairman, recognizing his contributions to education growth since assuming office.
The first tranche of the allowance has been disbursed, enabling schools to prepare for the new session, which commenced yesterday. The Head Teachers of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the Chairman for his consistent support and vision for grassroots education.
This initiative reaffirms the Anomo-led administration’s commitment to making education accessible and sustainable for all children in Ikosi-Ejinrin.
