The Eko Heritage Foundation (EHF), formerly known as the Eko Youth Congress (EYC), has elected Wale Salawe as its new President. The Foundation is a socio-cultural body of hardworking and dedicated indigenes of Eko (Lagos), providing a unique platform for professionals to unite in promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the State, while advancing the vision of a greater Lagos.
Wale Salawe, a retired banker, entrepreneur, and politician, will bring his wealth of experience, passion for leadership and community development to enhance the portfolio of the foundation.
In his acceptance remarks, he expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God, members of the Foundation, past leaders, and the Electoral Committee for their trust and support.
Salawe commended the election process, acknowledging its credibility.
The new President urged his fellow executives to rise above personal interests, embrace unity, and prioritize service in the best interest of Lagos.
He said, “There is a time for politics and a time for governance. Politics must now give way to governance.”
