On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the Imota Students’ Union (ISU), under the leadership of Comr. Idowu Taiwo Adewale, officially commenced preparations for the ISU Week ’25 of the Imota Students’ Union. The announcement was made through the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Comr. Onabudo Toheeb, who unveiled the programme lineup for the week.
Activities scheduled for ISU WEEK 25 include: Jumat Service, Free JAMB Registration, Debate Competition, Quiz Competition, Free Health Service, Youth Educational Symposium, and a Thanksgiving Service. The official logo and theme for the event were unveiled earlier on August 13 and August 16, 2025, respectively.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Bridging Gaps (BG)” which aimed at connecting the Gen Z to Our Historical and Indigenous Culture as people. According to the organizers, the theme is designed to inspire students to be curious, open-minded, and committed to excellence in every aspect of their lives.
The programme aims to educate and enlighten both students and the wider community on the richness and significance of indigenous culture—reflected in dressing, character, language, food, and more. The focus areas for this year, Education and Culture, were deliberately chosen to encourage students, comrades, and community members to embrace cultural values more profoundly.
Speaking during the unveiling, the Planning Committee Chairman, Comr. Onabudo Toheeb, assured that this year’s ISU WEEK would be “greater and more impactful than all previous editions.”
