… Sayleke Honours Del-York Creative Academy with Outstanding Award as Champion of Creativity and Excellence in Youth Empowerment

Comr. Babatunde Adeleke Akadri aka Sayleke presented an award and medal to Del-York Creative Academy in recognition of their Outstanding Achievement as Champion of Creativity and Excellence in Youth Empowerment. The academy was honored for equipping participants with skills in cinematography, content creation, costume and makeup for film, and animation, particularly through the Creative Lagos 2.0 program, which empowered hundreds of young creatives in Ikorodu in partnership with the Lagos State Government.
The graduands were awarded certificates yesterday at O’Clean Events Place in Ikorodu Local Government, marking the culmination of their training in cinematography, content creation, costume and make-up for film, and animation.
Mrs. Adebukola Agbaminoja, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, was represented by Mr. Dosunmu Jamiu, Public Affairs Officer, he praised the graduands for their hard work, creativity, and dedication, describing them as “trailblazers of tomorrow.”
He emphasized the Lagos State Government’s commitment to cultivating young talents and fostering a vibrant artistic community. The government, he said, has been working closely with esteemed institutions like Del-York Creative Academy to nurture creativity and support the arts. He commended Del-York Creative Academy for its dedication to discovering and nurturing new talents, saying their efforts were commendable.
Mr. Jamiu urged the graduates, who benefited from the fully funded tuition provided by the Lagos State Government, to transform their knowledge into impactful success. He encouraged them to let their creativity be a catalyst for innovation and positive transformation in society.
As the graduates embark on their individual journeys, Mr. Jamiu wished them fulfillment, success, and prosperity in their artistic pursuits.

Comrade Akadri Babatunde Adeleke-Sayleke, expressed his heartfelt congratulatory message to the graduands, their parents, and stakeholders who have supported them throughout their journey. He praised Del York Creative Lagos for receiving the “Excellence in Youth Empowerment” award, recognizing their dedication to transforming the community through the Youth Empowerment & Training Program.
The program, which focused on essential skills in content creation, costume and make-up for film, cinematography, and animation, has equipped the youth with the necessary tools to succeed in the creative industry. Comrade Adeleke-Sayleke noted that this initiative has ignited a spark of creativity and innovation that will shape the future of Ikorodu.
In his address, Comrade Sayleke expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and partners for their support, assuring them that Ikorodu remains eager for more opportunities to empower its youth. He emphasized the importance of investing in young minds, describing them as the “champions of creativity” and leaders of tomorrow.
The Vice Chairman of Lagos East National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comr. Asoro Abubakari, expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and Del-York Creative Academy for providing a creative program that will benefit the youths of Ikorodu.
Comr. Abubakari noted that the initiative will have a positive impact on the youths, providing them with valuable skills and opportunities for growth. He commended the Lagos State Government and Del-York Creative Academy for their commitment to empowering young people in the state.
