A powerful trio of progressive leaders Hon. Adebisi Ege, Hon. Moshood Mayegun, and Prince Adéníyì Olútìmehìn on Wednesday joined other dignitaries at the surprise birthday celebration held in honour of the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Hon. Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi, as he clocked 67 years today.

The low-key but deeply symbolic celebration, which was held in the hall of the APC State Secretariat, Lagos, brought together a select group of associates, party stalwarts, and mentees who gathered to honour a man described by many as the “moral compass of progressive politics in Lagos State.”

Speaking separately at the event, the trio took turns to extol Pastor Ojelabi’s political virtues, statesmanship, and exemplary character, noting that his life reflects uncommon humility, strategic discipline, and unwavering loyalty to the ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress.

Hon. Adebisi Ege, Chairman House Committee on Housing, Lagos State Assembly described the celebrant as “a political father and spiritual guide whose leadership continues to be a source of inspiration to the progressive fold,” adding that “his calm disposition and firm leadership have helped sustain the strength and internal cohesion of the party in Lagos.”

Also speaking, Hon. Moshood Mayegun, the APC Deputy State Chairman Lagos State remarked that Pastor Ojelabi’s ability to “lead without noise, build without boast, and inspire without intimidation” stands him out among his contemporaries. He noted that the birthday was not just a celebration of age but “a celebration of legacy, honour, and enduring leadership.”

On his part, Prince Adéníyì Olútìmehìn, President of the Greater Lagos Initiative and the APC Global Integration Movement, hailed Pastor Ojelabi as “a stabilizing force in Lagos politics,” adding that his integrity and quiet but effective leadership have greatly advanced the Renewed Hope Agenda at the state level.

“He is not just a leader by title, but by truth. His strength lies in his humility, his depth in his silence, and his influence in his example. Nigeria needs more Pastor Ojelabis men of clarity, conviction, and consequence,” Olútìmehìn said.

The trio jointly congratulated the APC Chairman on attaining this milestone and prayed for continued grace, strength, and relevance in his journey of service to party, state, and country.
