Hon. Enitan Jessica Oba, Hon. Daisi Batife, and Hon. Abimbola Owomilowomi have returned as Leader, Deputy Leader, and Majority Leader of the Ikorodu West Legislative Arm, respectively.

In her address, Hon. Jessica expressed her gratitude to her colleagues for entrusting her with the leadership role, describing the honor as a privilege and a testament to their trust in her abilities.

The Leader assured the public that the legislative arm would work in harmony with the executive arm to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

She emphasized that the legislators would maintain an open-door policy, ensuring that the office remains accessible to the people and that their concerns are efficiently addressed.

The Leader of the Legislative Arm pledged to support the vision of the Executive Chairman, working together to record success stories and bring development to the various wards in Ikorodu West LCDA.

Earlier in his speech, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, the Executive Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA congratulated the newly sworn-in councilors on their electoral victories, emphasizing that they are not just representatives of their wards but custodians of public trust. He urged the councillors to prioritize the needs of their constituents, work together with the executive arm, and maintain mutual respect and openness.

The Executive Chairman outlined his administration’s vision for Ikorodu West, which includes infrastructure renewal, economic empowerment, quality education, security, youth development, and healthcare access. He called on the councillors to work together to achieve this vision and build a model LCDA that future generations will thank them for.

He advised the councillors to be close to their people, hold town hall meetings, listen more than they speak, and let their offices be open. He emphasized that the people of Ikorodu West expect results, progress, and responsive governance, and that party politics should take a back seat.
