
The Chapel of Christ the Light, Lagos State government Interdenominational chapel has launched its 2025 Harvest program, themed “Harvest of Spiritual Overflow,” in a well attended service on Sunday 20th July, 2025.
According to Mr. Peter Omokaro, 2nd Vice Chairman of the Chapel and Chairman of the Planning Committee, the harvest program is designed to bring believers together for a season of spiritual growth, renewal, and celebration.
Mr. Omokaro added that they are embarking on this journey together, he invited all members and believers around to join them as they seek to deepen their faith and connection with God.
Guests preacher at the service, The Rt. Rev’d. Engr. Emmanuel Oluwafemi Babatunde Durowoju, Bishop of Ijebu-Ibadan Diocese, of The First African Church Mission, emphasized on the need for Christians to sow with faith in other to harvest greatly, he charged the congregants to be intentional and be truthful about their giving.
The Family Harvest segment will run from Sunday, July 27, 2025, to Sunday, November 9, 2025. Mr. Omokaro highlighted that this segment will focus on strengthening family bonds and fostering spiritual growth among members through various activities and teachings.
In addition to the Family Harvest, the State Harvest is scheduled to take place on October 12, 2025. Mr. Omokaro elaborated that this event will bring together believers from various states’ of the country, to worship and thank God in their indigenous languages, customs and traditions, expecting it to be a time of great rejoicing and spiritual renewal.
The Corporate Harvest, targeting institutions, professional bodies, ministries, and agencies, will run from July 27 to November 9, 2025. Mr. Omokaro pointed out that this segment aims to foster unity and spiritual renewal among participants, providing a platform for them to seek God’s guidance and direction.
The high point of the 2025 harvest launching was the family harvest Thanksgiving of the Presiding Chaplain, The Revd. Dr. Oladele Ajayi and Chaplain, The Revd. Dr. Olurotimi Taiwo and their family and one of the Chapel Minister, Revd. Desji Koko.
The harvest program will culminate in a grand finale on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Mr. Omokaro opined that the 2025 harvest climax promises to be a highlight of the year, with special guests, powerful worship, and anointed teachings, as believers come together to celebrate God’s goodness.
