The Lagos East Senatorial leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria under the leadership of Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji ACArb has sent it heartfelt felicitation to the newly elected 16 Chairmen in the senatorial district who won the just concluded July 12 LG poll. In a memo received by our correspondence, the leadership described the victory as “testament to the confidence of our people in your capability to deliver the dividends of democracy and domesticate the renewed hope agenda at the grassroot level”.

The press release further expressed confidence that “the Chairmen will continue to prioritize youth development and inclusion especially in their cabinet”. It reads in part, “we have seen our youth participating actively in the electoral process and even contributing in no measurable way to your emergence, as young people, this is our way of showing our can do spirit and we have no doubt that many of these people will also be considered in critical appointments which aligns with the youth inclusion policy of the renewed hope and themes+ agenda.

“Princess Samiat Bada -Ikosi Isheri, Hon Sesan Olowa -Ibeju Lekki, Hon Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju -Ikorodu West, Hon Bamidele Kasali-Lekki, Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe-Kosofe, Hon Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba -Ijede, Otunba Akogun Wale Raji Anomo -Ikosi Ejirin, Hon Monsuru Akinloye -Eredo and Princess Surah Animasahun -Epe victory came not as surprise, aside performing exceptionally in the first term, their commitments to youth inclusion in governance and development is second to non and has accounted for this well deserved re-election”.

The statement which is personally signed by the Senatorial Chairman (State Vice Chairman for Lagos East) further reads “Hon Aroyewun Hammed -Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Hon Lateef Ashimi -Shomolu, Prince Adedayo Ladega -Ikorodu, Hon Ameen Ibrahim -Ikorodu North, Hon Benson Sunday -Imota, Hon Bukola Adedeji Iyaniwura -Bariga by hosting and honoring youth engagements during the campaign have shown exceptional strong believe in youth development, we have no doubt that this victory has provided an ample opportunity to reverberate this commitment.
