On July 9, 2025, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club and Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club organized a vibrant celebration of World Youth Skills Day at the Community Center in Ayetoro, Ikorodu. The event aimed to recognize the importance of equipping young people with experiences crucial for their personal and professional development.

Themed “Empowering Youth Through Skills Development,” the celebration featured workshops facilitated by local professionals and skilled volunteers who shared their expertise and insights with participants. A total of 56 young individuals participated in the event, gaining valuable knowledge that can enhance their employability and personal growth.

The event not only enhanced community engagement and awareness around the need for youth skill development but also established connections between youth and local mentors, paving the way for future collaborations. The World Youth Skills Day celebration successfully provided a platform for youth in the Ayetoro community to explore, network with local leaders, and become inspired to pursue personal and professional growth.
