APC IKOSI-EJINRIN FLAGS OFF WARD-TO-WARD CAMPAIGN IN E1 AND E2 DESPITE HEAVY DOWNPOUR; BOBO MI THROWS OPEN CHALLENGE

In what has been described as a powerful show of loyalty, unity and grassroots strength, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area flagged off its ward-to-ward campaign with a thunderous rally held in Ward E1 and E2 respectively on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025.

Despite a persistent downpour, party faithfuls, supporters, and residents trooped out en masse to receive the APC candidates and reaffirm their support for the re-election of Akogun Wale Raji Anomo as Chairman and Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu as Vice Chairman of the LCDA.

The highlight of the rally was the official presentation of the Chairmanship, Vice Chairmanship, and Councillorship candidates Hon. Disu Opeyemi Ajenise of Ward E1 and Hon. Hassan Mustapha Owolabi to the people of ward E2.

In E2, which is the ward of former Executive Chairman Hon. Samson Adeniyi Onanuga, party loyalists cheered as Onanuga popularly known as BOBO MI ascerted that Ward E2 would not only deliver the highest number of votes in the election, but that his polling unit would set a record as the single most productive unit in the LCDA challenging anyone to the feat.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Otunba-Akogun Anomo gave a heartfelt speech in which he recalled major milestones of his administration. He cited achievements in Education, healthcare, road infrastructure, youth empowerment, rural electrification, and security, pledging to scale up delivery and deepen inclusivity if given another term.

On his part, the LOC Chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf, expressed gratitude to the Leaders and people for their resilience and unwavering support, noting that the turnouts despite harsh weather conditions were a clear indication that the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin are ready to move forward with tested and trusted leadership.

“We are not just seeking votes; we are reaffirming our social contract with the people. Our commitment to serve and deliver will be stronger than ever,” he said.

The candidates were later presented to the people and received with resounding cheers, chants, and pledges of support signaling a strong start to the ward-to-ward campaign that continues across the LCDA.

As the campaign train moves next to Wards G1 and F1, Ikosi-Ejinrin continues to set the pace in political mobilization and party cohesion.
