The All Progressives Congress (APC) held a mega rally in Greater Kosofe, showcasing its candidates for the forthcoming 2025 Local Government Election. The event brought together party faithfuls, residents, and stakeholders to endorse the party’s candidates for Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Kosofe Local Government, and Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

The APC candidates endorsed at the rally include Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the incumbent Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, who is seeking re-election. Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the incumbent Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, was also endorsed for re-election. Additionally, Hon. Adetola Abubakar was presented as the party’s candidate for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, expressed confidence in the party’s candidates, saying, “Today is a great day as we are here to showcase our various candidates, as we have seen the great work Mayoress and Ogunlewe has done in their first term while Adetola Abubakar will also build on the great work Mayor Dele Oshinowo has done in Agboyi-Ketu, these are sellable products that’s why we are confident to present them to the people, I urge our people to come out en masse to vote for them July 12.”

Hon. Femi Saheed, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, appreciated the party’s leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for creating 37 LCDAs, citing the positive impact on infrastructure, empowerment, and development in the area. He said, “We appreciate our Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating 37 LCDAs, because today we are seeing results of these creation, when you go to Ikosi-Isheri LCDA you’ll see gigantic Health Centre, Roads infrastructure, Empowerment and more, when you go to Agboyi-Ketu you’ll see housing estates, likewise Kosofe Local Government you will see Road projects and Education developments, in July 12 I urge you all to come out en masse to vote our various candidates for Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Agboyi-Ketu and Kosofe, once we get home talk to your neighbours and friends to vote for APC.”

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, reaffirmed her commitment to continued development in the area, focusing on infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, education, and more. She expressed gratitude to the party faithfuls and residents for their support and urged them to extend the goodwill to July 12. She said, “In her remarks Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA reaffirmed her commitment for her continued development to the people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, in terms of Infrastructure, Youth and Women Empowerment, Education, among others, In the same vein extended appreciation on behalf herself and colleagues for the turn up by party faithfuls and residents, this solidify for there continuous support for All Progressives Congress in Greater Kosofe, let’s extend the goodwill to July 12.”

Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, popularly known as ABK, urged the people to come out in large numbers to vote for the APC candidates on July 12. He said, “This is a day we are showcasing our party Candidates in Greater Kosofe and we have seen what they have done in first in office, from Mayoress who built a huge health centre that can compete with a general Hospital and various remarkable projects, to Hon. Moyo Ogunlewe who delivered lots of Road Projects, likewise Hon. Tola Abubakar will perform when given the opportunity because Mayor Dele Oshinowo did wonderfully well, let’s come out in our numbers on July 12th to Vote for them, also the APC Councillorship candidates.”

Earlier in her remarks, Mrs. Olayinka Olusanya, Vice Chairman of Lagos East APC, urged party faithfuls to preach the message of the party’s candidates to their people, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the development of their local governments. She said, “Mrs Olayinka Olusanya Vice Chairman Lagos East APC, urged and plead with Party faithfuls to preach the message to there people at there various homes, highlighting the great work Various candidates has done in there Local Governments.”

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Daini, and the Secretary of the committee, expressed gratitude to supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Greater Kosofe. He extended his appreciation on behalf of prominent figures, including President, National Leader of APC Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Party Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and the Chairman of the Committee.

Daini urged the crowd to continue supporting the APC until the 2027 elections, saying, “Go and support APC from now to the election in 2027. Thank you and God bless you all.”
