Hon. Hakeem Babajide Taoreed a former contestant of the last Ikorodu constituency II 2023 election predicted a resounding second-term victory for Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba for the July 12 ,2025 Local Government Chairmanship Election in Ijede LCDA.

He also commended what he tagged as “A Record of Historical Development & Excellence Leadership in Ijede Local Council Development Area LCDA”. Her administration has delivered concrete results across critical sectors:

Infrastructure Revolution: Witness the transformation!
From the construction of a 330-meter long road in Oremeta (Folashade Ibiwunmi) street. 7.3 meters wide and equipped with a complete drainage system.
Creation of  a motor park to have a structured and effective transporation and logistics system. Her commitment to a cleaner environment is also evident through her initiatives.
Complete Renovation of Ijede Library: Transforming it into a modern facility that surpasses learning and community engagement.

Commissioning of the Igbe Ogunro Model Primary School, a block of six classrooms, ICT room, and office

Donation of new Ambulance to okeletu health center

2. Empowering Education &  Health: Understanding that our future lies in our youth and the well-being of our people, the  administration has invested significantly. 
– Commissioning of the Igbe Ogunro Model Primary School, a block of six classrooms, ICT room, and office. In the same vein, she distributed educational materials and school uniforms to the pupils. Schools have seen upgrades in infrastructure and learning materials. 3. Economic Empowerment & Youth Engagement: Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo- Alogba believes in empowering our people. Her administration has facilitated skills acquisition programs, supported small businesses through (empowered young and women through the council’s 4th edition of vocational training. This initiative is part of the council’s mission to empower its people and alleviate poverty, Market women business support through WEMA BANK, Quarterly Food outreach program i for the people of ijede LCDA ], and actively created platforms for youth engagement and development, fostering a generation ready to contribute meaningfully.

4. Security & Community Harmony: Recognizing peace as the bedrock of progress, Chairperson Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo- Alogba  has worked tirelessly with security agencies and community leaders to enhance safety and foster unity across the diverse communities within Ijede LCDA. Initiatives like [hosting a Stakeholder meeting on security matters through the Legislative Arm of her administration with the aim of reviewing the Ikorodu Division Joint Security Task Force Bye Law., Interactive session is aimed at strengthening the fundamental legislation on security matters with the view of improving qualitative living with less or no threat to lives and properties.] have strengthened communal bonds and peaceful political co-existence among political parties.
