In a bid to improve healthcare delivery in the Igbogbo community, the Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club has commissioned a legacy project at the Ilajo Primary Health Centre. The project, which was unveiled with great fanfare, is a testament to the club’s commitment to serving the community.

According to Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, President of the Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club (2024/25 Lions Service Year), the club undertook a comprehensive renovation of the primary health centre. The renovation included repairing the leaking roof, renovating the shed to accommodate nursing mothers, and providing full shedding to ensure a dry and comfortable environment. The toilet facilities were also renovated, and mosquito nets were installed on all windows to create a mosquito-free environment.

Additionally, the club resuscitated the collapsed water system with a new refurbishment and painted the entire building, both inside and outside. The club also made cash donations to 50 newborn mothers, bringing joy and relief to the families.

Lion Johnson Efukomaya MJF, the first Vice District Governor Elect representing District Governor Lion Dr. Folashade Shotomide PMJF, applauded the project, praising the club for its dedication to community service. The legacy project’s commissioning marks a new chapter for the Ilajo Primary Health Centre, better equipping it to provide quality healthcare services to the community.
