The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) officially flagged off its campaign for the local government elections with a party flag presentation ceremony. The event took place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, where the party flag was presented to the APC candidates, including Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju as the Executive Chairman candidate and Hon. Adesegun Aluko as the Vice Chairman candidate.

The party also presented flags to its councillorship candidates in various wards, including Hon. Jessica Enitan Oba for Ward A, Hon. Batife Daisi for Ward B, Hon. Ganiyu Anifowoshe for Ward C, Hon. Dare Okuyelu for Ward D, and Hon. Abimbola Taiwo for Ward E.

While presenting the candidates, Otunba Bayo Lawson, the APC Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, emphasized that no one should relax, assuming they have already won. Instead, he urged party members to increase their votes and work harder to ensure victory. “Let’s go to our various homes and preach and canvass to our neighbors to vote for APC, vote for our respective candidates,” he said.

Alhaji Jamiu Adio Saka, the Apex Leader for Ikorodu West LCDA, also spoke at the event, calling on party members to come together and support the candidates. “The primary has been concluded and gone, there is no need to fight anymore, the candidates have emerged. Let’s all come together to work for the party candidates and ensure they emerge victorious in their respective offices,” he emphasized.
