…. Rep. Babajimi Benson Applauds SKO for Transformative efforts in Ikorodu West LCDA

The Ikorodu-West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) recently marked a significant milestone in its development with the commissioning of newly constructed roads on Fela Ahmed Street and Taiwo Molajo Street. The event, held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Council Secretariat, was attended by prominent stakeholders, including Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO), FCA, FCTI, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu-West LCDA, and Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR.

The roads, spanning 600 meters on Fela Ahmed Street and an additional 600 meters along Taiwo Molajo Street, are expected to reduce travel time and alleviate the burden on residents of the Agric and Isawo communities. Hon. SKO reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing the progress and development of Ikorodu-West LCDA, stating, “This is just the beginning; more is still on the way.”

During the event, over 70 individuals benefited from the sixth edition of “The Mega Empowerment Programme,” specifically branded as the SKO Empowerment Initiative. The program aimed to enhance the livelihoods of residents within Ikorodu-West LCDA by providing various tools and household items.

In addition to the empowerment program, cash donations of twenty thousand naira were distributed to over 300 households within Ikorodu-West LCDA, catering to the elderly and youth demographics. Hon. SKO urged the beneficiaries to refrain from selling the items received, emphasizing that such actions would motivate his administration to continue providing more support.

Rep. Benson commended Hon. SKO’s efforts in facilitating numerous road construction projects and empowerment initiatives, recognizing the significance of unity within Ikorodu-West. He encouraged residents to actively engage in communal and political activities that foster development.

The event concluded with a call to action, urging residents to maintain their commitment and mobilize support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for July 12, 2025.

SKO emphasized that with the APC in governance, there would be greater prosperity and renewed hope for every segment of society.
