
The Phillips Olubunmi Emmanuel Foundation (POE Foundation) celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 with a special event aimed at empowering young girls in the Makoko/Iwaya Community, Yaba Local Council Development Area, Lagos. The event, held on May 28th, 2025, at 12:00 PM, focused on educating girls about menstrual hygiene and personal health, while also providing them with sanitary pads.
In his remarks, Hon. Phillips Olubunmi Emmanuel, the founder of POE Foundation, emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene and personal health for young girls. He stated that the foundation’s goal is to empower girls with the knowledge and resources they need to manage their menstrual health with confidence and dignity. “By providing sanitary pads and hygiene education, we can help girls stay in school, pursue their dreams, and build a brighter future for themselves,” he said.
