In commemoration of Children’s Day, Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, Executive Chairman of Iru/Victoria Island Local Council Development Area (IRU/VI LCDA), celebrated the special day with children in her domain. The chairman described children as “lovely gifts from God and the leaders of tomorrow.”

In her message, Princess Adu praised the children for their outstanding performances in various spheres and wished them well in life, academically, morally, and in every other aspect. She prayed that God would continue to make them a source of joy to their parents.

The Executive Chairman also used the occasion to urge parents to play a more active role in shaping the future of their children. “As parents, you are a source of inspiration to your children,” she said. “Let’s endeavor to train them right, morally, intellectually, religiously, and psychologically, so that we can get the best out of them in the nearest future.”

She emphasized that with the right guidance and support, children can achieve beyond expectations and realize their dreams. “If children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond our expectations and their dreams,” she added.

The chairman concluded by wishing the children a happy Children’s Day and advising them to be firm and strong forever.
