
The Lagos State Council Chairmen Wives Association (LASCCWA) recently empowered artisans, traders, and other beneficiaries in Eti-Osa, Ikoyi/Obalende, and IRU/VI local government areas. The event was hosted by prominent chairpersons, including Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, Executive Chairman of IRU/Victoria Island LCDA; Mrs. Bankole, Eti-Osa LG Chairperson; Mrs. Mariam John-Campos, Eti-Osa East LCDA Chairperson; and Mrs. Atanda-Lawal, Ikoyi/Obalende Chairperson.
The beneficiaries were overjoyed as they received various business empowerment tools, including sewing machines, deep freezers, air dryers, ovens, and cash grants. A total of N150,000 was given to some beneficiaries as cash empowerment, while others received N50,000 to support their businesses. The gesture was aimed at promoting economic empowerment and self-sufficiency among women in the community.
Princrss Rashidat Adu, Mrs. Olusi, and Vice-President of LASCCWA, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the equipment and cash given to them appropriately. She emphasized the importance of responsible stewardship and encouraged the beneficiaries to maximize the opportunities provided to them. The empowerment program was well-received by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude to LASCCWA for the support.
