
In a bid to promote well-being and health among Nigerian youth, the Nigerian Youth Council (NYCN) Ikorodu West Local Branch organised a comprehensive medical outreach program in partnership with Ikorodu General Hospital which took place on May 14, 2025. The program provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities, including free medical consultations and screenings, access to essential medications, health education and awareness sessions, and free drugs.
The initiative aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare access and promote healthier communities. Over 200 beneficiaries from Shakiru Oyekan CDA Ikorodu West received free drugs, highlighting the program’s impact on the community. By providing critical healthcare services, the initiative empowered individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to take control of their health.
The NYCN Ikorodu West Local Branch expressed its commitment to improving the lives of young people and the broader community through initiatives like the medical outreach program. This effort is expected to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of the community, and it is anticipated that the program will become a model for future community-based health initiatives.
