The Lagos State Government has commenced the grading of the access road to the Itto-Isiwu community, a development that has brought joy to the residents. The project, which began on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, is being executed by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Asiwaju Wale Ogunbela, the 2nd Vice Chairman of ISEDASS and Supervisor for Agriculture and Chieftaincy Affairs in Ikorodu North LCDA, expressed gratitude to the state government for the initiative. He specifically thanked Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Rural Development, for his efforts in ensuring the project became a reality.

Asiwaju Ogunbela noted that the community had been advocating for the rehabilitation of the access road for a long time and commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for being a leader who listens to the needs of his people. He revealed that the road project was first mentioned on March 13, 2025, and the community’s patience has finally paid off with the commencement of the grading work.

The community leader described Governor Sanwo-Olu as a Governor for all, who is committed to the development of every part of the state, including rural areas like Itto-Isiwu. He expressed optimism that the completion of the road project would improve the lives of the residents and facilitate economic activities in the community.
