
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA; Bldr Olusesan Mayokun Daini has encouraged youths to see digital skill as an escape root from unemployment. He made this known while addressing participants at the digital acceleration skill on Data analysis organized for the youth of Lagos East by the National Youth Council of Nigeria and a German enterprise -GIZ.
He noted that his believe in youth development, providing alternative employment platforms and eradicating young poverty among young people accounted largely to the support of his administration to the program. He noted that an on spot approval was given when it was proposed. He encourage the participants that although the program is free and they would even be paid incentives, they have to take good advantage of the training to improve their lives and become asset to the digital market. He emphasized that nothing is free in the real sense, “everything free is paid for by someone else, you have to make us proud because we believe in this project, we believe in you and we support we the requisite resources.
The one month training welcomes 50 participants into the first cohort and 50 for the second cohort totaling , hundred.
While speaking, the Vice Chairman of the Youth Council for Lagos East; Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji appreciated Bldr Daini, he noted that because the partners were impressed by what they met on ground, a second cohort which will run simultaneously has been approved.
Also present during the onboarding is representative of the GIZ representative Mr Ayomikun Olugboge, Supervisor for Budget and ICT of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA; Comr Odusnaya Lateef, Sen Comfort Olafare; Deputy Chairman NYCN Lagos, Comr Olaide Lateef, NYCN Organising Secretary for Lagos East, among others.
