The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, commissioned the newly built Executive Chairman’s Office, renovated existing administrative blocks, and the newly built West End Event Centre.

In his speech, Hon. Sulaimon expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the milestone achievement and thanked the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his theme of inclusive governance, which has guided their projects and programs.

The Executive Chairman highlighted some of the council’s achievements since taking office, including the rehabilitation of several roads, construction of new roads, and interlocking of streets. He also appreciated the support of Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Hon. Babajimi Benson, who have constructed major roads in the area.

SKO emphasized the council’s commitment to qualitative service to the people, stating that the newly constructed Chairman’s office complex and the state-of-the-art event centre will enhance productivity and serve as a legacy for future generations.

The Chairman thanked the party for the platform to serve and appreciated his mentor who is now late, Alhaji Salisu Olaribigbe Alogba, for his support.

Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, commended SKO for his “laser focus on development.” Prince Ogunleye made the remarks while commissioning the newly built West End Event Centre.

Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Member GAC Lagos State, who described the newly inaugurated Administrative Building as “a bold statement of progress.”

Traditional rulers in attendance HRM Oba Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo Kingdom and Oba Monsuru Oladega, the Olu of Agboyi blessed the projects, saying they would foster unity and growth in the community.
